C1 at Col
C2 on a snow ridge.

On 16th May Moro and Paglino left C2 at 1:00+am for push to summit; reached 7000m at about 3:00 am and were too cold (especially Moro's feet); snow very deep making progress very slow; there was danger of avalanching; they turned back here, had trouble finding C2, continued on down and arrived at BC at 10:30 am same day.

Expedition climbed in 2 parties with Czechs moving up after Italians. On 16th 4 Czechs except Lukas Rakoncaj left BC for C1, reached C1 and met Italians who were coming down and who reported on conditions above (snow conditions bad). Czechs followed Italians down to BC same day and climbing finished. Czechs had earlier reached C2 when they established it with Italians on 8th May.
