No actual climbing done. Reached Kagmara Pass by trekking to it, placed a camp there and found there was too much deep, deep snow and avalanching. "So not to take a risk," they decided to turn back.

"Letter of Recommendation"

This is to recommend a group of General Alpine Climb climbers who would like to make an attempt of climbing the Kagmara Peak in Western Nepal during the month of April-May 1989. Leader of the group is Dr. Ulrich Gruber, member of the Bayerland Section in the Germany Alpine Climb. He has gained the necessary experiences and abilities during many trekking and expedition journey to Nepal and other parts of the Himalayas.

We kindly request the concerned persons authorities and institutions to give all possible support to Dr. Gruber and his group with regard to the necessary climbing and trekking permits as well as any other formalities.
