C1 at rock ridge of NE Face
High point at NE Face.

22nd pitched C1 and down to BC to sleep and spent 23rd there. 24th to C1 to sleep. 25th in C1. 26th to site of C2 at 6200m and down to BC because of bad weather (snowing fairly hard). C1 just below big serac about to collapse. 27th rest in BC. 28th to C1 to sleep. 29th to C2 site and on to 6400m on ridge despite avalanche which atarted at 6500m and went down side of ridge. At 6400m decided to descend because no longer on ridge and therefore not safe from avalanche. Down to BC on 29th. On 30th huge serac avalanche.

Breil-Hansen and Schroder left mtn early because they thought it was too dangerous; they had reached C1.
