BC south-southeast end of big Lake
C1 near top of SE Ridge
High point on SE Face below East Ridge.
20 Oct summit attempt from C1 by 2 members, reached 6400m & turned back tired; had started late so would have to sleep again in C1 on descent but C1 dangerously threatened by seracs so abandoned climb. Started 6 am & reached 6400m 8:30 am with expected arrival at summit at 4 pm. Climb now finished. There was a big avalanche down west side of SE Ridge from seracs high above.
