Only a Sherpa reached Makalu La. Very cold and strong wind. Sherpas collected tent left there by Czechs for this team (for sale). Members reached only 7200m after difficult night at C3 with 80 kph winds blowing snow. There was an attempt for summit by Thevenard, Blanchard and Nima Tamang. Polge on 17th also tried and got only to 7000m.
