BC at normal site (stone shelters).
"It's a hard route" and not as much fixed rope as expected. Others who didn't summit took too long to get up difficult route and would have needed more rope fixed and timing didn't work out. 3 members didn't get above C1, which is a very easy climb to reach. Were not strong climbers for Himalayan peak.
Summiters left C3 at 4 am, took 9-1/2 hours (carrying rope to fix) to get to top; went down to C3 at 5:30 pm and slept there; next day to Pangboche.
