C3 on snowfield below at NE Ridge.
Utilized fixed ropes placed by Chinese/Taiwanese expedition, by agreement, We carried 50 kg gear from ABC to C2 for them & gave them some rope and oxygen equipment.
They also used oxygen, food and gas at our C2, when their climbers were descending, frostbitten from summit.
Frank Nugget went to 8680m on 27 May 93.
Robbie Fenlon and Tony Burke went to 8500m on 28 May 93.
Two other climbers were above 8000m.
Ladder on 2nd Step is in place though loose. Chinese expedition placed new fixed rope on it.
Base camp is clean, tidy and well looked after, but there is a lot of old and not so old rubbish at Advance Base.
