Smt 01/10 at 11 am Chinese time by Watson, Emma Griffith, Alex Knafl,
Cosima Eggenberger, Mingma Dorjee, Nima Tashi and other Sherpas.

As the weather window opened earlier than expected, Watson decided to forego the acclimatisation (3 members had acclimatised in Langtang and 2 had used hypoxic tent) and go for the summit before the cyclone.

Team left C2 at 1 am together with the large Chinese team. There was a lot of new snow and wind-drift. Sherpas broke trail. Rope fixed by the first Chinese team who summited on 24/09. Straightforward climb. Team spent about 30 minutes on the summit and descended to C2 where they arrived at 4 pm. On 02/10 descent to ABC.

Van der Haagen reached 6000m
Taenzler reached C2 and decided that he was not strong enough.

Left BC on 03/10 by jeep to Tingri and crossed the border at Kodari. The roads were pretty bad.

Arrival 04/10 in Kathmandu

Oxygen: from C1 to top to C1 by members; C2 to top to C2 by Sherpas. Clients were on low flow for sleeping from C1.
