Cuenca was not intending to go to the summit on this rotation as she had only just arrived and was acclimatizing. At C3, Allie Pepper’s Sherpa Mikhel told her that the weather window was good and that she should go for the summit. She did not have her downsuit up there and not enough food. But the following day a helicopter came up to rescue the Ukrainians from C4 and brought her downsuit, her mittens and her socks so she was able to go to the summit.

Team left C4 at 8:25 pm. It was cold and windy. The rope was fixed apart from the traverse. Cuenca broke trail from 8000m to the summit in the couloirs.

She spent about 20 mins on the summit and descended to C4 where they arrived at 4 pm. Next day BC. It took them 13 hours to get down. They arrived there at 9:30 pm. Left BC on 15/04 by helicopter to Dhana.
