Expedition of St. Petersburg and 6 climbers on the top of Manaslu

The expedition of the “Mountaineering School of St. Petersburg” to the eight-thousander Manaslu in Nepal has ended. As the organizers note , it was held in the best traditions of the “Height” project, all 11 participants descended from the mountain safely.

On September 24-28, 6 members of the St. Petersburg Mountaineering School expedition successfully climbed to the top of Manaslu. They ascended without the use of additional oxygen, the help of Sherpas or the services of base camps.

The ascent was carried out completely autonomously; the team spent 30 days on it. During this month, the climbers managed to acclimatize, make the necessary transfers of equipment and supplies, and set up their own high-altitude camps.

“The School of Mountaineering of St. Petersburg” even got a discount on permits for climbing.
