BC between Pt 5087m on Dhaulagiri map and start.

"Psyched out" by death of German trekker at Dhaulagiri BC and and body left by group for others to dispose of; this made British Tukuche afraid of illness amongst themselves (Germans were elderly group and death might have been caused by stroke); all came down with intestinal problems at Dhaulagiri BC. Dodd and Glanville left sick but Glanville returned to climb later; Rennie on 25th exhausted and cold from carrying heavy load to C1. Then winds came and snowfall made progress difficult. 26th Carter came down from C1 also exhausted and had to be carried down; also suffering from altitude sickness. 27th Inglis alone to C1 and 28th to perhaps 6000m, then realized if got in to trouble there was no one to help her and wouldn't go to top alone so back to C1, when Glanville joined her. But Inglis not confident how fully recovered she was, so they packed up C1 and descended to BC same day. "There were just so many things going wrong I didn't want anything else to go wrong."
