Five members of the Nepalese Sagarmatha Expedition summited on 11 May at 7:56 am, Tashi Lakpa Sherpa (climbing leader), Sobit Gauchan (professional helicopter pilot), Phurba Chhiring Sherpa, along with two high-altitude assistants, Nga Tashi Sherpa and Pasang Sherpa.
Gauchan is the first Nepalese helicopter pilot to summit Everest and is the director of Heli Everest. Tashi Lakpa and Phurba Chhiring are also affiliated with the company.
