Team orignally planned to attempt the NW Ridge, but when Cory Richards dropped out due to a lack of motivation to climb, Mena and Perez switched over to the standard route.
Weather was good, but snow conditions were hard and bad. Mena and Perez opened trail from base camp to the highest point. Nobody else wanted join them.
Mena reached 7800m, then turned back due to avalanche danger.
Joyce was the camaraman and didn't have enough experience to climb in alpine style. He touched C2 on 06/06 and waited for the team in C1.
