Summit team set out from high camp on 8 Dec at 2:15 am, stayed 20 minutes, then returned to C2 at 4 pm (Kelly continued on to BC arriving at 7:30 pm).

Route in very good condition. Some rock pitches initially, but soon switching to crampons for snow/ice runnels through the Grey Tower. Mushroom Ridge straightforward, few cornices. Headwall in good condition, with a broad corridor not directly threatened by the Dablam serac. Good weather window of opportunity for our summit bid. Clear and cold conditions, with relatively light winds. We were the last group on the mountain for the autumn season.
