This presentation covers the expedition report by the Ugabuga-Bugaboo team comprising Woo Seok-ju, Lee Ji-eun, Jeong Da-min, and Oh Hyun-min delivered at the 24th seminar of the Korea Himalaya Fund. The team undertook high-difficulty climbs in Canada’s Bugaboo Mountains and Valhalla Provincial Park. Over the course of a month, from June 22 to July 29, they completed numerous climbs, culminating in the successful ascent of All Along the Watchtower (32 pitches; rated 5.12- or 5.11+ C2) on the North Face of Howser Spire. They also share information gathered from exploring and climbing in Valhalla Provincial Park, an area previously unvisited by Korean climbers. Established in 2013 under the leadership of the late Kim Chang-ho, the Korea Himalaya Fund has supported creative and progressive climbing endeavors and related activities. The fund operates without any commercial sponsorship, relying entirely on the support and contributions of active climbers and like-minded individuals. To promote adventurous climbing, the fund periodically hosts seminars dedicated to the study and discussion of climbing.

한국히말라야펀드 제24회 세미나 프로그램 중 우석주, 이지은, 정다민, 오현민 등 4인의 우가부가-부가부 원정대의 보고 내용으로, 이들은 캐나다 부가부 산군과 발할라 주립공원에서 고난이도 등반을 진행했습니다. 6월 22일부터 7월 29일까지 한 달 동안 많은 등반을 했는데 최종 목표였던 하우저 스파이어 북봉의 올얼롱더와치타워(32피치, 5.12- 또는 5.11+ C2)를 완등했습니다. 또한 국내 미답지였던 발할라 주립공원을 탐사 및 등반하여 얻은 정보를 공유합니다. 한국히말라야펀드는 2013년 고 김창호의 주도로 설립된 이후 창의적이고 진취적인 등반 및 그러한 등반관련 활동을 지원해 왔습니다. 펀드의 예산은 영리적인 목적의 후원은 일체 받지 않으며, 전적으로 현역 등반가 및 뜻에 동참하는 분들의 지원과 찬조로 조성됩니다. 펀드에서는 모험적인 등반의 활성화를 위해 비정기적으로 세미나를 개최해 등반에 대해 연구하고 있습니다.

韓国ヒマラヤファンドの第24回セミナープログラムの一環として、ウ・ソクジュ、イ・ジウン、チョン・ダミン、オ・ヒョンミンの4名からなる「ウガブガ・ブガブー遠征隊」による報告が行われました。彼らはカナダのブガブー山群およびヴァルハラ州立公園にて、高難度の登攀を行いました。6月22日から7月29日までの約1ヶ月間にわたり数多くの登攀を重ね、最終目標であったハウザー・スパイア北峰の「オール・アロング・ザ・ウォッチタワー（All Along the Watchtower）」（32ピッチ、5.12-または5.11+ C2）を完登しました。また、国内では未踏の地であったヴァルハラ州立公園の探査および登攀を通じて得られた情報も共有します。韓国ヒマラヤファンドは、2013年に故キム・チャンホ氏の主導で設立されて以来、創造的かつ進取的な登攀や、それに関連する活動を支援してきました。同ファンドの予算は営利目的のスポンサーシップを一切受けず、全面的に現役のクライマーやその理念に賛同する方々からの支援と寄付によって賄われています。ファンドでは、冒険的な登攀の活性化を目指し、不定期にセミナーを開催して登攀に関する研究を行っています。
